About the Role
Based in BYD’s Melbourne office in Mulgrave and reporting to the GM Office Manager, the Business Project Assistant supports the GM Office in driving key business initiatives, coordinating strategic projects, and facilitating communication between Headquarters, local management, and dealer partners. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong learning agility, business acumen, and the ability to execute and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate major corporate events, executive visits, and strategic business activities with BYD Headquarter and dealer partners.
• Support the rollout and execution of management directives, ensuring timely follow-up, dealer alignment, and project completion.
• Track and coordinate key business projects across departments, proactively identifying risks, monitoring progress, and driving closure of action items.
• Organize regular management meetings, Mid-Year or Year- End reporting.
• Prepare professional presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and business correspondence for management and headquarter.
• Manage office vehicles, including but not limited to vehicle registration, insurance, daily maintenance, usage management, company car allocation and change-over, and various case coordination with relevant government bodies.
• Partner with HR & Admin team to arrange the employee engagement initiatives, such as festival celebration, team-building activities, and corporate culture programs.
• Manage and coordinate all expense submissions, tracking, and reconciliations related to the above-mentioned activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, budget requirements, and approval processes.
• Provide other ad-hoc business support to the GM Office as required.
Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong execution capability with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Fast learner with strong curiosity, initiative, and business awareness.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• High attention to detail with strong presentation and document preparation skills.
• Good aesthetic sense and the ability to create professional business presentations and event materials.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken is a must.
